Nick and Dash attend Betty Freer's funeral to pay their respects, but instead they find her two sons fighting in her grave. Alex Freer is the younger son, and has been working on Betty's free range farm for many years. When the older son returns home from America and wishes to make some changes to the farm an intense feud erupts. The fight at the funeral a symptom of the mounting tension within the family. When Mrs. Freer's bedroom is ransacked and her jewellery stolen PJ and Maggie become involved in the investigation.
